My AC went out yesterday afternoon, and when I woke up this morning to find it still not cooling, I submitted a service request online at 6 AM (I love their user-friendly platform online!). Within an hour, I received a call to confirm my needs, and by 9 AM, Darren was at my door. Within minutes, he identified the problem and had it fixed just as quickly. Darren was fantastic! Personable, professional, and easy to talk to (just like everyone I’ve met from Lantz). Their pricing is incredibly fair, and I especially appreciated that Darren treated me with respect and as an equal. Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon for men to talk down to women in these situations, but Darren explained everything clearly and professionally without a hint of talking down to me. First, my sewer pump electrical contactor was out; the guy came that day and checked it out and got it to pump. We called Lantz's to troubleshoot an A/C issue as it was not cooling to the desired temperature. By request, Steve came out since he was familiar with our HVAC system. He identified that the refrigerant level was low. When I told him that the refrigerant was refilled only about a year ago, he had the professional sense to check the evaporator coils for leaks. His hunch was correct. He demonstrated how his tool was detecting moisture. We gave him the go-ahead to replace it. He made sure to cover our hardwood floor. He kept me informed throughout the entire process. He even showed me the 'leaking' coil. The visible signs of 'wear & tear' validated the decision to replace the part. Prior to completing the job, he did thorough tests to ensure the HVAC system was working properly. He even did us a solid by taping an exposed area in the air handler. Highly recommend Lantz's & Steve for A/C maintenance & repairs. Extremely satisfied with the level of quality & competency.
